BIOGRAPHIE
Stefanie C. Braun, geboren in München, studierte Gesang am Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venedig bei Sherman Lowe und belegte Meisterklassen bei Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Brigitte Fassbaender, Rudolph Piernay, Thomas Hampson, sowie am International Vocal Arts Institute in New York und Tel Aviv.
Die Sopranistin ist Preisträgerin des Cantilena Gesangswettbewerbs in Bayreuth, des Concorso Velluti in Venedig und Stipendiatin des Verbier Festivals und des Schleswig Holstein Musikfestivals.
Von 2008 bis 2010 war sie Mitglied des Opernstudios der Oper Zürich. Darüber hinaus gastierte sie bereits u.a. an der Bayerischen Staatsoper, der Washington National Opera, der New Israeli Opera,dem Landestheater Salzburg und dem Stadttheater Klagenfurt, .
Zu ihrem Repertoire gehören Partien wie Donna Anna/Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Desdemona (Otello), Alice (Falstaff), Woglinde (Das Rheingold), Sieglinde (Die Walküre), Agathe (Der Freischütz), Fata Morgana (L'amour des 3 oranges), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Sylva Varescu (Csardasfürstin) und Safi (Der Ziguenerbaron).
Die Künstlerin arbeitete bereits mit Dirigenten wie Daniele Gatti, Eivind Gullberg-Jenssen, Alexander Shelley, Alexander Soddy, Adam Fischer und Patrick Fournillier und Regisseuren wie Harry Silverstein, Martin Kusej und Sam Brown zusammen und trat u.a. mit den Münchner Symphonikern, der Stuttgarter Philharmonie, den Nürnberger Symphonikern und dem Zürich Kammerorchester auf. Bei Ohems Classis erschien eine neue Emmerich und Charles Kalmann CD Einspielung mit den Münchner Symphonikern und dem Tenor Michael Suttner, die exklusiv beim Bayerischen Rundfunks vorgestellt wurde.

BIOGRAPHY
Recently German soprano Stefanie C. Braun created the title role of Poulenc's La voix humaine at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich as well as Irina Popova in William Walton's opera "The Bear" and made her American debut as Countess Almaviva at the Washington National Opera.
A former member of the young artist program at the Zürich Opera; her roles with that company included Lenio (Greek Passion), Brunhilde (Die lustigen Nibelungen), 1. Dame and Pamina (Magic Flute f.k.), Gerhilde (Ring), among others.
The artist created Rosalinde in the award winning team of the prestigious RingAward in Graz as well as for the prestigeous Stauffer Festival in Germany and also performed as Donna Anna at the Landestheater Salzburg.
She was also featuring the lead role of Busoni's version of Turandot after having returned to the Theatre of Klagenfurt as Fata Morgana in Prokovief's Love of Three oranges and Sylva Varescu in Die Csardasfürstin after her last season 's much acclaimed appearance as Saffi in Der Zigeunerbaron by Johann Strauss.

Her recent solo recording, Lieder von Liebe und Leben, features songs by Clara and Robert Schumann and Erich W. Korngold. 2011 new release of Oehms Classics "Kalman & Kalman" features the Soprano in Solos and Duets by both, Emmerich Kalman and his son Charles.
A former IVAI fellow she is also Finalist to several internationally acclaimed competitions (Concorso Velluti, Internationaler Gesangswettbewerb Schloss Rheinsberg, Internationaler Wagner Wettbewerb amongst others) and won a special prize at the “Cantilena“ competition in Bayreuth and got second at the “Prix du Verbier Festival“.
She has been closely advised by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Trish McCaffrey and Sherman Lowe and took part in Masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Kurt Moll and Thomas Hampson.
